Urban Arrow review/english

A weekend in Antwerp with the Urban Arrow...

We had a lot of fun and got many compliments on the electric Urban Arrow cargobike and suffered little or no inconvenience on Antwerp's bad roads.

Not entirely without self-interest but with full conviction I can say that the electric Urban Arrow Cargo bike is a giant leap forward in child transportation by bicycle.

When selling a product you need to have some knowledge about the product so we decided to take theUrban Arrow cargobike with us on our short holiday allowing us to write a review. Our daughter had the time of her life and sat (and even slept) on the cusioned seat (see pictures) and stayed dry and out of the wind under the see-through canopy.

The Urban Arrow is easy to maneuver, even when heavily loaded. I myself weigh 100kg and my wife who weighs a bit more than half my weight can also ride the cargobike with ease. Even without the electric auxiliary engine the Urban Arrow is easy to ride. The light and clever stiff aluminum frame and high quality rolling parts allow you to ride the bike comfortably without the electric enigine too.

We started with a full battery and after using the cargobike for three days there were still two out of three lines visible on the display.

The DAUM pedalsupport is easy to manage, allowing you to use the system efficiently. You can effortlessly turn the electric engine of the Urban Arrow on and off during cycling and with a simple move of the thumb adjust the electric support to a higher or lower level. There is even a special "pushing" function which helps you push the cargobike up a hill.

Urban Arrow uses the NuVinci N360 hubgear. This is an easy to use gear system and the only hub that does not damage due to the force of the engine. A minor disadvantage is that the hub shifts the best while cycling. This means that you cannot shift through the full range of the gears while standing still (you cannot shift from the lightest to the heaviest gear while standing still). You need to take this into consideration before coming to a standstill. The NuVinci N360 is free of maintenance and under normal circumstances will last a lifetime.

The Urban Arrow canopy is easy to attach and remove. Folded it can be comfortably transported in the compact travel case. This is a big advantage when compared to the canopies of other cargobikes which cannot be easily transported.

The battery of the Urban Arrow is safely locked and stowed away under the passengerseat and is easily removed so it can be charged at home. The engine can only be turned on using a key. The complete electric system is well integrated and not sensitive to water and humidity. I actually couldn't find any points that need improvement.

Our conclusion for the review is that the electric cargobike by Urban Arrow deserves five stars on all points. It is a great cargobike that is not only comfortable to use but also attracts a lot of positive attention.
